IDEOLOGY
Completed my studies in philology at the University of Bucharest, followed by a master’s degree and a PhD in Comparative Literature at the University of Montreal. While researching for my doctoral thesis on the subject of thought-image as a poetry device (at the beginning of the 20th century), I became interested in research projects linking contemporary poetry to urban legends, political ideologies and global cultural development. I wrote articles, poems, and essays in both English and French.
Poetically involved
Systematically stirred
Unconventionally disturbed
Silently disapproved
Socially challenged
Theoretically transparent
Practically consistent
Emotionally centrifugal
Historically uneven
Sexually appropriate
I read, I write, I think (sometimes I start with thinking, but this is not a rule), I drag my head around, I disappoint, I blumb the coffee, I do research and most of the winters I let myself be depressed... I learn Dutch, I fold my insights, I carefully register my blind spots and I try not to forget.
I live in the west part of the Montreal Island with all my books and significant ones.
